gentoo-prefix on SGI-Altixes (IA-64) running SLES 9

The prefixed portage as of May 24^th 2008 compiles perfectly fine on IA-64 SLES9 (with ProPack), which it didn’t before.

For installation I followed the Gentoo Prefixed Portage Bootstrap Process for Solaris 10 users. During the initial bootstrapping with the bootstrap script, I had a failure in I believe m4. This could be solved by bootstrapping texinfo as well by issueing:

./bootstrap-prefix.sh $EPREFIX/tmp texinfo

Some of the packages were “missing keywords”, which can be simply solved by putting the following keyword in the list of allowed keywords for that ebuild:
